My name is Michael Oluwafemi Omole. I grew up in Pembroke Pines, Florida. I currently study Economics and Environmental Science and Public Policy as an undergraduate at Harvard University.
As a Sustainable Data Intern, I primarily focus on ESG data analysis and look for leads on sustainability data providers. I also write blogs for #Physis Insights and sector reports on impact. Products. In addition to the data team, I help out with graphic design and social media content on the side.
I really enjoy the team environment and the fact that everyone is encouraged to speak openly. We also meet as a data team frequently, and I enjoy getting to hear about everyone’s work and projects.
In my opinion, impact investing is the way of the future. As the world becomes more connected, it becomes harder to dissociate from the potential negative impacts of one’s investments. I believe investing with a desire to spark social change will become more common in the future and investing with environmental risks in mind will become standard practice.
I think the most exciting part about sustainability is the potential for new technology in a variety of sectors. As sustainable products become more popular, they will also become more innovative and competitive which can lead to a lot of really cool and new ideas.
