Alex, tell us about yourself

My name is Alexander Aleksic, I grew up and currently reside in Winchester, Massachusetts. I am an undergrad studying economics at UMass Amherst.

What is your role at Physis?

At Physis, I’ve been working as a Data Analysis Intern. I’m responsible for conducting research, analyzing sustainability reports of companies in various industries and sub-industries and analyzing sustainable products.

What is your favorite part about Physis?

My favorite part about Physis is being apart of an organization determined to make a positive social and environmental impact through investing. I also like the team environment and how we are encouraged to interact with our colleagues and do our best to improve the platform and the company.

What does impact investing mean to you?

Impact investing to me is a useful way to incentivize companies and firms to promote positive environmental and social change through the use of money and investment capital. 

In your opinion, what is the most exciting part about sustainability?

The most exciting thing about sustainability is being able to create a better future for tomorrow while still taking our present needs into account. 

If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only bring three things what would they be?

If I was stranded on a deserted island I would bring a boat, match sticks, and a satellite phone.
